Introducing the Love Belper Town Festival…

The Love Belper Town Festival is a celebration of the town we call home; its creativity, history, independent spirit and the people who make it so special.

Created and organised by the team behind Love Belper, the festival was born from a simple idea: to bring the community together and celebrate everything that makes Belper unique in a vibrant, quirky and historical way.

Across the festival, visitors can expect a lively mix of food, drink, music, entertainment, shopping artisan stalls, craft demonstrations and historical touches inspired by Belper’s rich heritage. From traditional performances to local makers and independent businesses, the festival aims to capture the warmth, character and creativity woven throughout the town.

This year feels especially meaningful as Belper celebrates 250 years of the mills…a reminder of the towns incredible history, craftsmanship and enduring community spirit. With elements inspired by Belper’s past alongside modern independent culture, the festival hopes to honour both heritage and future creativity alike.

The festival stretches throughout the heart of Belper, including Market Place King Street, the Memorial Gardens, Campbell Street and Strutt Street, creating a vibrant trail of experiences for visitors to enjoy.

At its heart, the Love Belper Town Festival is about community, connection and championing independent local businesses, artists, makers, performers and creatives. It is a chance to experience Belper at its most joyful, full of life, storytelling, music, creativity, history and celebration.

  • The Creative Quarter

    The Creative Quarter

    Campbell Street, Tylers and The Yard

    Here you’ll see heritage craft demonstrations, celebrating 250 years of Belper Mills. Lace making, corsetry, black smithing, woodworking are just a few you’ll be able to watch and learn! This continues inside Tylers, where you’ll also find our handpicked artisans for some shopping. Then, head to the yard for music, plays and drinks!

  • Festival Gardens

    Memorial Gardens

    Our beloved Memorial Gardens on King Street will be transformed into a celebration of drink, music and food. A perfect place to gather and soak up the atmosphere. Throughout the day, expect live entertainment, headline music and drinks served by our local pubs.

  • The Town Market

    The heart of Belper will be filled with not only speciality food vendors, but with local businesses taking to the streets to fill the festival with gifts, crafts, and lots of curios! Expect felt animals, animatronics, art prints and home fragrance to name a few. Crumble, pizza, special toasties and sweet treats for the tastebuds!

  • The Strutt Street Party Featuring The Resonate Stage

    Not only will our local bakeries and delis be taking to the street, but Resonate will have their very own stage, featuring music all day long.

  • The Village Green

    Market Place

    Belper’s historic market place will host community stall holders, each willing to share the history of their organisation through their stand. Of course, some music will be present!
